We had a wonderful end-of-the-year tour in Salt Lake City. We toured the State Capitol building and sang on the stairs in the Rotunda. What a thrill!!! There is at least a 20 second reverb there that is
just amazing.

We also toured the Conference Center and went to the city cemetery where we sang at WW Phelps' (The Spirit of God) and William Clayton's (Come, come Ye Saints)graves as well as Pres. Hinckley's grave. The cemetery is the resting place for almost all of our prophets and it was a tender and reverent experience to stroll through the grounds.
Friday night we had a party at the hotel after our day of touring and singing. One of the challenges to win a door prize was to see who could do a "wall sit" for the longest time. I WON!!!! That would make my Pump class teachers proud!
The tour ended with probably our finest concert ever!! Or at least in the two years I have been in the chorale. The concert was held at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square on Saturday night. The acoustics in that hall are some of the best. (The picture at the top is inside the Assembly Hall on Friday morning during a workshop with Ryan Murphy - asst. director to the MoTab) We performed some very difficult music and we were quite flawless. The large audience present, that included my terrific and supportive kids, rose to their feet at the end. It was so thrilling!!! I was overwhelmed - just couldn't hold back the tears. What a blessing this has been in my life!! I love music and I love this chorale and I loved this tour!
I am so jealous you were able to go walk through the cemetery! I really want to go! Miss ya Vick! Your amazing!
