Motherhood . . . . can be a POOPY job!!!

Some funny "poop" stories from the life of my daughter......

1. Bryan and Jon are left home babysitting....which means they are playing X-box and occasionally grunting in the kids direction....Lexie is gone for a while and being very quiet.... "where is she?" they finally wonder........ In the bathroom stirring the poop in the toilet that Gavyn didn't flush down.....

2. We went swimming at Mandy's pool. All the kids need a bath or shower after we get home. Cortnie baths Lexie fast and gets her out so Gavyn can get in.... Dylan gets in the shower. He hollers he needs a bar of soap. Lexie is still naked and comes in and talks to Gavyn in the tub while Cort is getting Dylan some soap. I'm at the sink putting on my make up. Cort comes in to get Lexie - picks her up - I see poop on her bottom....???? What the???? Sure enough she has pooped on the floor by the tub while she was talking to Gav..... looked like a pile of mustard colored soft serve ice cream..... Cortnie says.... "it's just like having a puppy" Lexie's favorite word is puppy... so she starts repeating.... "Puppy! Puppy!" while Cort scoops the poop into the toilet. Gavyn finds the whole thing hilarious! Not the word that comes to mind for Cort....

3. Gavyn, Lexie and Mom are at Home Depot..... Cort loads the cart with wood she needs for some of her vinyl projects..... As soon as it is nice and loaded up, Gavyn exclaims.. "I need to poop!" So she goes to take Lexie out of the cart, since it is full of wood and run him to the potty.... but then she realizes that Lexie has pooped and it is all up her back. She doesn't want to pick her up and get poo all over her... so she unloads all the wood .... while Gavyn is getting very anxious and threatening to poop his pants..... then frantically runs to the other end of the store to the potty....barely in time for Gavyn to make it and lots of fun to clean up Lexie's mess.....Of course....Cortnie is smiling and pleasant and cheerful through this whole experience.... NOT!! She's frantic, sweating, cursing under her breath...... but laughing when she tells me about it later.

My best poop story when my kids were little....

1. Left Cortnie and Brandon with a babysitter.... I used cloth diapers but usually got disposables when I had a sitter. I had run out of disposables so I told the sitter if they pooped to just leave the diaper by the toilet and I would rinse it out when I got home. I come home.... pay the babysitter.... she leaves.... I go in the bathroom..... OMG what the _ _ _ _ happened in here?!?!? There is poop smeared all over the bathtub!!! and a spatula on the side of the tub?? HUH??? I call the sitter??? She explains that she tried to wash the poopy diaper out in the tub instead of the toilet but couldn't get the poop to go down the drain so she got the spatula out of the kitchen to try to push it down... but it just smeared around...... I hung up the phone.... scoured the tub with bleach and threw the spatula away!!!!!! Then I had a good laugh...

Motherhood.... truly can be a poopy job..... but somebody's got to do it.... So glad that I did!!!
