START SPREADIN' THE NEWS. . . . . . . .

I can't get this stupid song out of my head since my fantastic trip to NEW YORK CITY!
The Mapleton Chorale was invited to sing at the Lincoln Center over a year ago.  After more hours of practice, collectively and individually, than we can possibly calculate and a cost of over $150,000 to get us there........ we arrived, we rehearsed, we saw sights, we ate great food, we laughed, we walked and walked and walked, and we performed..... at the Statue of Liberty, at Ellis Island, at three churches - St. Pauls, Trinity, and St. Patricks- and then our final performance at the Lincoln Center.  Cory, our marvelous director, told us to ask for a miracle and to expect one and reminded us that we had earned the right to be there, we were good, we were prepared and we should be confident in our ability to succeed in our performance.  I went onto the stage calm and just excited for the opportunity to be there.  I personally performed better than I ever have.  I remembered every note, rhythm, lyric, dynamic, entrance, cut off.... and felt the Spirit strongly there helping me and all of us.  We all felt so good about our solo concert!! It was amazing!!!!!!!!! We were unified and just jelled together in the most amazing sound in the most wonderful venue we have ever performed in.

I loved seeing the Statue of Liberty!!
We went to the Manhattan Temple!!
I LOVED CENTRAL PARK!!!!!!!
This is a real person...... a man, I think:)
For a buck or two, you could have your picture taken with him.

Singing at the St. Pauls Church
I love these people!!!  What a great group!!!

We took a midnight cruise after our concert.  Sooooo  fun!
Our guest conductor!
Sunday morning after church, we're singing some songs in front
of the Alice Tully Hall where we performed our concert.
Out of the subway come this man.... pushes Cory out of the
way and starts conducting.  He lead us in about four songs
before picking up his red purse and saying Adios!
Inside Alice Tully Hall
We couldn't take pictures during the performance
but this is during one of the other performing groups' rehearsal.
LOVE this picture of the temple!
Singing in Trinity Church....can you find me?
The BIG piano from the movie BIG......
The stage where we performed the most
