I can't believe it is already April!!! Where has the time gone? It has been months since I posted anything here on Vicki's View and have been tempted to discontinue the blog altogether. Some reflection and review over the past few years of blogging made me rethink and decide to continue on. I did decide it was time for a makeover..... not sure how I like the new look but it will do for now...
2012 is hurrying by and I'm not sure what goals I have for the year. I didn't really set any New Years resolutions. I did sign up for a quilting class, something that I have wanted to do for many years but never found a class I could attend because of my crazy work schedule. The class is on "the Farmer's Wife" quilt and should be a challenging project. You can bet that I'll be posting pictures of my progress as I go along.
And I am reading the Book of Mormon with a renewed intensity. I love that book!!! I have just finished struggling through the Isaiah chapter's of 2nd Nephi!! I usually skip them, but I was determined to give them a try this time. I read them, along with David Ridges study guide, and I actually understood a little this time. If you have never used any of David Ridges books, you need to. They are a fantastic help! They are titled "The Book of Mormon (or New Testament, etc) Made Easier". I read the New Testament and Old Testament guides the last two years. I got so much more understanding of them by using his books. I recommend them highly!! (They are often available at the Cedar Fort Outlet store for very cheap! Check it out!)
Still singing with the Chorale and loving it!!! We have concerts coming up this spring and are going on tour to Logan in June. (Not quite the same as New York - but it will be fun!) If you've never heard us sing you need to come have a listen. We are good!!! And Cory Mendenhall is the most amazing conductor ever!!! I love him!!
Life is good. I am very blessed. I am continually renewed, uplifted and strengthened by my Savior. I am so grateful to Him and to a loving Heavenly Father for all that I have and for Their love and patience with me.
