Not on me.... although let's admit it, I could use one...
But on the front of my house!!!
Spent the weekend painting my front door
and the trim around the front and back doors.
Don't know how well you can see in picture above,
but door was an ugly red.....
So I sanded and sanded and sanded till my arms were
shaking!!! and then a new, fresh, warm wonderful color!
Clay came and replaced my lights in the front and on
the patio and put up some hooks for me so I
can hang plants and wreaths.
SOOOOOO much BETTER!!!!
Old lights....... YUCK!!!
All the light fixtures, in and out, were
brass and they are all now swapped out!!!
Spiffed up the patio with a new umbrella,
touched up the paint on the patio table,
even have a garden..... a tomato in one pot,
and a cucumber in the other.
Put new curbing in the back yard...
I put this picture in when I first moved in but have never
shown how great it looks after we painted it!!!
Love having a fireplace... but it doesn't work!
Again.... this was when we were in the
fixing up period.....
And this is what it looks like today.
It has taken some time, but I really do like
this new house. It has been a lot of work and still
needs more, but it is very comfortable and I am blessed.
The best part of living at 9634 Temple Shadows Drive
is that I can see my kids and grandkids more.
Yesterday, while I was painting, Mandy and Reese
just stopped by for a visit and Cort and Bry ran over
to help take the door off and put it back on.
Mandy and I walk together once a week.
Cort calls when she needs help with where to put
her flowers and I can run over and help.
It is priceless!!! to be so close to them.
