Heavenly Choir......

This past weekend the MAPLETON CHORALE
went on tour to Logan and Salt Lake.
Even though we didn't go far from home, it
was absolutely wonderful to get away and to
spend time with some of the greatest people
I have ever known!  What a treat!
We performed on Friday in the Logan Tabernacle.
On Saturday we performed at the Assembly Hall
on Temple Square.  Both performances were
well done and we had a great time performing.
But the Saturday night performance was especially
rewarding, spiritual, and just amazing!
It was a "New York" experience all over again.
That is something I thought we would never experience
again!  But we did.  It was truly a HEAVENLY
experience.  I think that the calmness, peace, and
utter joy we felt as we performed was as close to HEAVEN
as I will ever experience on this earth.
We were connected and followed Cory precisely.
We remembered all the things we have worked
so hard on all year.  I love this choir and I truly love
the people that are in it.  I especially treasure our
director for his spirit, his passion, his enthusiasm
and his love for music and for life.
Concert at the Logan Tabernacle...... love those pipes!
This is the organ in the Assembly Hall... I would love love love to play it!
Seated is our adorable accompanist, Jon Sargeant!
This is our GOOD LOOKIN group in from of the Assembly Hall.

My Mom and Dad came to the concert on Friday in Logan.
I was so glad to have them there.  They came to a Christmas concert many years ago
but Mom hasn't felt well enough to come down to any since.
I left my jacket at the hotel in Salt Lake and almost didn't get to sing
but one dear lady got sick and had to go home so she let me borrow hers.
I was devastated when I realized I had forgotten it cause I so badly
wanted to sing for my Mommy and Daddy.
This picture only Chorale members would get..... but we named this sculpture
"Cory's Fingers" ..... ya know, when he brings them together and we are supposed
to close the "n" but we can't see them so we don't stop and he looks at us like
we are all retarded! "They've been together for 10 seconds now!"  Whatever!
We went to an art show at the Church Museum.  There were MANY moving and
beautiful pieces but this one, named "While Mary Sleeps" really touched my heart
and made my eyes leak a bit :)
This is the inside of the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake.
The Chamber Ensemble are singing in this picture.
We performed/practiced here and it was awesome!!
It has the most amazing acoustics and really gives you
a chance to hear yourself and prove what you are vocally made of.
Its like singing in the shower amplified by 1000.
So fun!!!
We went to Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday morning.
It was very moving, as it always is to hear the MoTab sing.
