Ira was six months old on March 3rd.
And so his Daddy planned a day out with his Mommy
on March 2nd to celebrate 6 months of mommyhood...
And I got the blessing of babysitting....
I had sooo much fun with him. First we curled up in the rocking
chair and had a nice long nap together. I absolutely love to do that
with my grandbabies. It is so comforting to hold their warm little
bodies and hear their gently breathe, smell their sweet scent,
and just cuddle and love them. And of course, as he fell to sleep
I sang my two favorite lullabies that I learned from my Mom...
Be-o-by-o buntin'
Daddy's gone a huntin'
He'll bring back a rabbit skin
to wrap my little Ira in...
Be-o-bye, don't you cry
We'll go up to grannies
Up the hill and by the mill
to see the little lambies.
He liked my singing.... and I liked singing to him.
I just love his big eyes. They are so expressive.
He is so pleasant and cheerful. Really has a special spirit.
It is going to be fun to get to know him better as he grows up.
What a doll! He is so well natured, and happy all the times I have seen him too.
