Arrow of Light

Dylan received his Arrow of Light  Award at Pack Meeting in September.
Here he is putting a pin on his Mom's shirt.  Mom deserves
more than a pin for all the work she has done helping him
earn this award.  She has served with him for all three years of his
Cub Scout experience.   She started as his Wolf
Leader and is now the CubMaster.
Here he is with the awesome plaque and arrow that his mom
made for all five boys that got their award.
Look at all those badges and arrows on his shirt.
His leader told how vigilant Dylan is... and that it was no surprise
that he completed EVERYTHING he possibly could
and got every badge, pin, belt loop, etc that was possible
to earn.  Way to go, Dylan!
The look on his face in this picture is so typical of my
Dylan.  I am not sure what is going on in his head.... but he looks
at others that way often.  The shadowbox frame on the table is his
award for getting EVERYTHING passed off.
And here he is walking across the bridge... to leave
Cub Scouts (and his Mom)
and join Boy Scouts where his Dad will be his new leader!
As part of the program, Dylan's leaders told about him and some of
his qualities.  As mentioned above, she told about his vigilance in
accomplishing all that was required of him.  She also said how
respectful he is.  In a world where no one is respectful anymore, I was
very touched to hear this.  She said he is always respectful of the other boys,
of the church, of his country and flag, and always shows respect to her and
her husband (his leaders).  Brought tears to Gma's eyes to have him praised
for something so important.  His dad told about how friendly and
obedient he is.  He truly is the most obedient kid I have ever known.
I love so many things about Dylan and I am glad that others
see how much good he is filled with.
What a special boy!
