We had a wonderful May birthday lunch at my house to celebrate
Brandon, Cortnie, Bryan, and Kaimee's birthdays....
For lunch we made "gourmet" grilled cheese sandwiches.
I got different breads, cheeses, meats, toppings, tomatoes,
sauteed mushrooms,& avacados..... Everyone chose their favorite bread
and toppings and grilled them with real butter!
It seemed to be a hit for everyone.
It seemed to be a hit for everyone.
The gkids really liked that I had chocolate milk. apple slices, and chips too!
For dessert we had strawberry shortcake.... Everyone's favorite.
I made big cards (like the one in the picture above to Brandon's left)
for each of the bdays kids. We had to write inside what we love about
that bday person... one reason for every year old.
Tried to get a good picture of the four of them....
But none of them turned out very well.....
Kaimee 28 Bryan 38 Cortnie 35 Brandon 34
Seriously.... could we get just one good picture!??!!?
This was one of our best family get togethers ever.......
Why???? Because no one was in a hurry....we started early afternoon
and just relaxed and ate and wrote on our bday cards and visited and
ate some more. Gma Shumway sent me home with the photo albums
she has kept of the kids since they were born, and are current up until
the day she sent them home with me, and the kids and grandkids had
a good time looking at those and reminiscing and laughing and
story telling. It was wonderful for me to have my dear kids around
me and watching them interact with each other. I love them all
so very much and am so grateful to be their Mom...
And these two little dolls love to play together and are
SOOOOOOOOO CCCCUUUUTTTEEEEE!!!
They actually went downstairs and played in the toy
room alone for a long time today. I have had a toy room for
11 years .... since I became a Gma....and the kids never play in it.
They always have to be where the adults are.
But today these two played Barbies downstairs for quite a while.
