In my day....we all started about age 12 to make a trousseau, which
by definition is "the clothes, household linen, and other belongings collected by a
bride for her marriage". It was expected in my day and my Mom, Grandma and
I took it very seriously. Anyway, I embroidered these dish towels when I was
about 13 or so. And they have been safely tucked away in my cedar chest
for years!!! So I came up with a fun way to display them and enjoy them.
This is the shelf above my washer and dryer. I hung the towels and then
found some fun things to put on the shelf. An antique iron, cookbook, sifter...
some old cookie cutters from when I was a kid, and Gma Whiteheads
snap kit. I love how it turned out. Makes the laundry room happy!
Cortnie cut me vinyl to finish it off that says....
"If all our troubles were hung on the line
