A Dear Friend......

“People are the true flowers of life.   And it has been a most precious
pleasure to have temporarily strolled in your garden.”
Our dear family friend, Margaret Johnson, passed away peacefully in
her sleep on August 6th at the ripe old age of 95.
She has meant so much to our family and we have all loved her so much!
I was given the great honor of speaking at her funeral.
What a big responsibility and stress!  But I hope I did some
justice to the wonderful life she led.  She was always so positive
and energetic.  Even though nearly 40 years separated us in age,
we were dear friends and I enjoyed so much all the time we spent together
sewing, painting, gardening, and visiting.  She was so good to my kids
and they truly loved her like a Grandma.
It was fun to go to the "old ward" for the funeral and
see lots of old friends.  Evelyn Bond and I went over
and fixed her hair and painted her fingernails before
the funeral.  That was very special.  Cortnie and Mandy
came to the funeral and that meant a lot to me and I know
it would have to Margaret as well.
