Another special night with my SPECIAL girls........

Lexie and I went out to pick up Jordyn on Saturday afternoon...
for a fun and event filled day....
First we went to COLOR ME MINE and painted....
It was fun to see how the girls had matured since we went
last time... (about a year ago)... especially Jordyn.
They were so cooperative and pleasant and patient.

 Our finished (unfinished) projects...

Then I asked them what they wanted to eat... and Jordyn said
Mac and Cheese.... So... we went to the Pizza Factory..
Where we got these delicious bread sticks and yummy Mac
and Cheese.... Such cute girls!!
After dinner we went back to my house...
All of this drive... from Mapleton when we picked up Jordyn
to Color Me Mine, then to Pizza Factory in Lindon
and finally to my house ... we went on the back roads.
So when we drove into my driveway...Jordyn sits up and says
"Gma, are we at your house?  How did we get here?"
I assured her that we surely were at my house... trying to understand her confusion.
Next she burst our with "That was sooooo FUN!!!!!!"
Then she went on to explain that we didn't go on the freeway ONCE!
So the next day, Brandon picked her up at Cortnie's.
I called him afterwards to make sure he got her OK
and I asked him about her strange reaction to our drive.
He said as soon as he picked her up and they started driving
home she told him that Gma had gone on different roads
all the way to her house... that you didn't have to go on the freeway.
Apparently... she is sick of the freeway... because they drive it EVERYDAY
and often more than once a day from Mapleton to Lehi,
at least and sometimes farther.  She is always asking
Brandon to go on a different road..."I am tired of the freeway!
I have driven it a thousand times!" she says!
But Brandon always tells her that there is not another way to go.
So Gma Vicki showed her there was another way!
It killed me that she would even notice such a thing!
Back to our story..... After our late lunch... we headed to Spanish Fork
to see my cute Carlie (one of my techs) perform in "Tarzan" at
SF High School in a community theatre performance.  It was
really good... But Jordyn was super anxious about the guy with
the gun... thought I was going to have to take her out....
And after the play we drove home on the freeway... and
she didn't like that....
Below... Carlie in her gorilla costume with her biggest fans.
All through the play they both kept asking...."Where's your friend
now Gma?"  "Is she up there now?"  Cute show and Carlie was awesome.

Here are our finished products from our Color Me Mine day!
