From 50 to 90 and back to 32.........

I had a great week visiting Mandy and Jon and the kids
in November.  It was 50 degrees when I left on the 5th and
the day we went to the zoo in AZ it was 90.... when I landed at home
on the 12th it was 32 freezing degrees!!!
We went to this amazing zoo just 20 minutes from
Mandy's house.  Loved the carousel.... Not sure
Reesie and Jens did though....

I was giggling like a little girl about getting to feed
the giraffes.  I LOVE giraffes.  It was just so great to
be up close to them and see their amazing heads and eyes
and those ridiculously wonderful purple tongues....

Me and Reesie got such a laugh out of this crazy monkey.
He would take a bite out of an apple and then quickly spit it out.
Then another bite and then spit it out.... and repeat over and over.
I started saying "I want it. I don't want it." And for some reason
that made Reesie giggle... and she thought Gma was hilarious...
I kinda am hilarious but only if you are three years old.
We had so much fun watching these monkeys.
One of them was reaching out of the fence so I
put my hand out and he hit it!!! Like he gave me "three"... so cool.
We went to see BIG HERO 6.  Great movie!!
LOVED giving this little guy a bath.
He is so sweet and such a happy little man!!
His giggle is just like a cat's purr..... It is just this
little low grumble and it is adorable!!!
Mandy and I made these Santa pillows..... so excited to get
them done.  They are at the quilters.
Reese, of course, wanted to be included in the crafty fun.
So Mandy got her these darling little mosaic sticker things.
She stuck with it for HOURS and did them so carefully and precisely.

We went outside on the patio and Reese drew this
adorable picture of Gma Vicki.  It was a big deal cause
Mandy said she had never drawn a circle for the head
before.  So we proudly took her picture.
We went to a fun park and spent the morning.
Jensen loved to walk and walk and walk all around the
park.  Swinging, however, was not his favorite.  Only
lasted about two minutes.
 Reesie in the "spider web".

Mandy made these adorable Christmas pillow
cases for the kids.
And we made Reese this adorable owl pillow.
And I helped Mandy cut and layout this darling
Christmas quilt.  Here it is sew together!!
She did such a great job!!

It was a great week.  I loved being with the kids and Mandy.
Jon was gone most of the time I was there as is his life...... always gone
from home.  But he is doing so well with his rotations.  It was fun to see
him enjoying what he is doing.  He is such a great hubby and daddy.
And Mandy is such a wonderful MOMMY.  I am so impressed by how
patient and kind she is to the kids.  She certainly didn't learn that from me.
We had a good time crafting and talking and playing with the kids.
I loved talking to Reese.  She is so smart and so fun to be with.
Jensen is absolutely adorable.  Everything about him is precious
and wonderful.  I hated to leave them and come home.
Especially when I stepped off the plane in Provo and it was 32 degrees!
