This is what I woke up to on November 28th....
Lucky for me... I was on my way out of town...
Off to see the kids in ARIZONA
As always we had such a great time... The weather was wonderful!
And it is always so good to be with Mandy and the kids.
Jon was gone to interviews most of the time I was there
so I saw little of him. He did pick me up at the airport and I
was so glad to get a chance to talk to him and hear about the
great exciting things he is now doing in his work!
The tree was up when I got there... but not decorated.
Reesie did a great job of decorating the bottom half of the
tree and loading it well with all the ornaments in one place!
She was sooooo excited!!!
And of course, after she went to bed......
Mom fixed it a bit :)
Jensen's favorite thing about the tree was climbing behind
it and just chillin'. He loves his little spaces to sit in!
Reesie LOVES her MOMMY!
Love this picture.... It's all THREE of the Frisch
girls.... (little one is still in the oven)
We went to all kinds of places... and enjoyed being together
and OUTSIDE!!!!... Above we are at the mall where we
went to buy some new things for the new little one..
And had lunch at our favorite sandwich place..
Below are the facts about this great tree....
Tallest one in the nation.... Wish I had seen it lit up!
We spent LOTS of time at the park. One night Mandy and Jon
went out alone and I took the kids to the park. We played for
HOURS in the sand and had so much fun!
Jensen kept wandering over to where this little man
and his wife were eating dinner and looking appreciably
at their pizza..... I would run to him and try to catch him
before he got to them but they were VERY aware
that he wanted some!! Finally at his third run over to them
and when he started yelling "PLLLLEEEAASSSSEEE"
as I pulled him away.. they offered him a slice.
I was a little embarrassed but they were so gracious,
insisting that they couldn't eat it all themselves.
So he sat down in the sand and ate EVERY BITE
of his pizza slice. He dropped it a couple
of times and it was covered in sand but he would
not let me take it away... So I let him eat it! Sand and all!
I LOVE to go to the park with the kids. When my kids were little
and driving me crazy... especially when it was just Cortnie and Brandon...
I would drop everything and go to the park... Without fail, I came
home appreciating how cute and fun they were and that I
really did love being their mom after all!
Nothing better than watching these grandkids play,
discover and learn, make new friends, overcome their
fears.... etc.. and it all happens at the park!
Jensen LOVES the sand...!!!
Mandy has a cute advent calendar that has an activity for
the kids to do each day in December. One night they opened
new Christmas Jammies.... Jensen refused to pose for a picture..
But Reese loved hers and LOVES to wear that Santa hat!
And she LOVES to wear Gma's reading glasses..
We went to see the movie "Good Dinosaur" at the mall
and then went to see the puppies at the pet store.
I wish you could hear Jensen's giggle when he sees
these little guys.... LOVES them...
It was a real treat to be able to go see Reese at her gymnastic class.
She is super strong and quite athletic. She did a good job!
Mandy and I spent the evenings after the kids were asleep
working on a quilt for the new baby. This is the final product!
Mandy sewed it all by herself... I just helped her measure
and cut and figure it out..... Super cute ARIZONA desert
fabric with cactuses and sunbursts....
I'm taking it home to Utah to have it quilted...
And of course, we went to the ZOO....
Above me and Reese are getting a close look at a crane
and below Jensen and I are studying that very big mean looking tiger!
Jensen LOVES the ducks and chases them all over!
He about wore me out chasing him!
But he is soooo darn CUTE it was worth it!
Kangaroos are my favorite at this zoo. Look how close they
are to the kids.. and the one laying down.. Kills me...
Looks just like a human laying out there in the sun!
Jensen had some cheetos on the way home....
LOVE LOVE LOVE this kid!!
He is sooooo very sweet and cute!
He is so smart and yet so quiet about it!
When he does finally start talking I think he will
drive us crazy with all he must surely have to talk about..
Those big brown eyes melt my heart at every glance!
Parting is always so very hard..... I cry all the way through the airport
every time I leave... People probably think I may a little "touched".
This time was no exception. There is such a sweet bond between
Reese and Gma..... I just love her so much and luckily she loves me
back. She was pretty sad when I left.... In fact she was pretty sad all
day because she knew I was going home. Makes me glad she loves
me....and that I love her.... but so heartbreaking to see that sad face!
A great trip.... Looking forward to going back in a few months
to welcome the new little one!
