It's a rough gig... being over 55 and trying to date.... and feel good about yourself.... and really do I want to married again????? There are MANY good things about being single.
But for whatever reason, I thought I'd give it one more try.
And I met a really great guy....His name is Kyle Wood. He is a science teacher at Springville High. As soon as I found that out, I quickly sent a text out to all the kids asking if they knew him or had done anything in which to embarrass me that I should know about before going out with him. The only one who had had him as a teacher was Jon. And he had also dated his daughter. :). The consensus among the kids was that I should definitely go out with him.
Our first date was November 7, 2015. We had planned to go on a bike ride. When he showed up and got out of his truck I was quite surprised to see him decked out in his spandex. I had debated about what to wear but quickly decided absolutely not my spandex for our first date.....so I had opted for just some yoga pants and a long sweatshirt type top.
Anyway....... he was spandex from head to toe..... My first thought was "he is way too skinny for me!" since his spandex left little to the imagination..... :). We rode the first of many times along the Murdock trail that day ... ...enjoying the ride and an easy, comfortable, steady stream of conversation. After our ride we went to Arctic Circle for a burger. When we said goodbye I really, really was hoping that it wouldn't be the last time I would see him.
On our second date... he brought me this.... along with a water bottle for my bike.
I thought this was the absolute cutest thing I had ever been given by a guy... He was quickly earning points.
He brought me flowers and candy...
Dinner was waiting for me at home one night when I got off work.....
The end of November I went to Arizona to see Mandy.
I sent Kyle this photo....
He sent me this back..... :)
I think I'm falling in love with Mr Wood. He is a keeper!
